Brian was born and raised in Omaha, NE. Because of the interesting and diverse weather Nebraska has, Brian developed an interest in it at an early age. He enjoyed studying different aspects of weather, keeping up on the latest forecasts, and even drawing up his own forecasts...
In 2002, he began chasing storms (without any technology or much knowledge). In 2004 he became a trained storm spotter, and was able to turn in several reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service. Sadly, it was not until the Aurora tornado of 2009 that Brian clearly saw his first tornado (however, he has seen numerous funnels and wall clouds up until then). With the help of fellow storm chasers, and an increase in knowledge and experience, he hopes to capture more tornadoes and severe weather events. Brian chases with Jeff when they do local chases and is the driver.
Brian has been a 911 dispatcher for Douglas County/Omaha for the past 10 years. He desires to go into pastoral ministries to defend the truth of the gospel. Even though weather is a passion for Brian, Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, by which Brian's sins were paid for in full, and was thus saved for all of eternity, is Brian's greatest passion.
- Why do you Chase? It is good to see God's power, wisdom and beauty in the weather, but to understand and know the Maker of all these things is far greater. Brian is currently in Southern California going to seminary at Westminster California.
